When the ownership of one of the long standing sanitary ware shops came into the hands of the next generation, he wanted to make shopping for sanitary ware a whole new experience. He also wanted to start retailing in imported brands and it became necessary that all products were presented properly. The brief was to design a space which highlighted the products well, possibly in a setting similar to the one in which they will eventually end up, display all the products in a neat and organized manner and most importantly look aesthetically pleasing.
The design idea was to keep the displays towards the walls and vertical surfaces and leave the central spaces free. Wherever there were island displays, they were kept low to retain the visual continuity of the space. The tiles used for cladding were from the product range itself, thus making the floor and every tiled vertical surface a part of the display. Strategically placed niches and shelves provided display for accessories and smaller items.
