This chain of stores was designed for a major textile manufacturer as a showroom for their upholstery fabrics.

The design brief for the stores was to create a cutting edge and dynamic environment in which to house the over 2000 options of silk and silk blended fabrics. It was also important to maintain continuity in their brand aesthetic that had evolved over many years.

The main feature of the design was the snake like undulating skin which wrapped around the length of the showroom. The double walled skin enabled various types of displays to be carved out into in. This kept the rest of the space free to move around and view the fabrics and give a feeling of spaciousness and minimalism. The central reception table was an intriguing elliptical shape and covered entirely in a seamless white Corian. The monochromatic colour scheme of the interior elements allowed the myriad colours and textures of the fabrics to be highlighted.
