Insitu Design
This old time bar had been handed down the family for a couple generations and was a fixture in the night life of the area it was located in. The young owners wanted to redo the interiors in the old world style but with contemporary touches. They were also inspired by Irish pubs from their travels and wanted to bring in that kind of warm welcoming atmosphere to this space.
The challenge in designing this space was that no natural light reached the interiors of the space. The site was enclosed on all three side and the front had to be translucent to protect the privacy of the customers. The warm wooden interiors helped in creating a warm cosy atmosphere.
